Carmine Vincenzo Gentile was born 1 October, 1800, in Forli del Sannio, Isernia, Molise, Italy. He was the son of Michele Gentile and Crescenza Milano. He married Barbara Nicoletta Mazzocco on the 7th of November, 1819 in Forli del Sannio. Barbara "Nicole Barbara" Nicoletta Mazzocco was born 5 December 1794, in Forli del Sannio, Isernia, Molise, Italy. She was the daughter of Cosmo Benjamino Mazzocco and Maria Mazzocco.
